HELLO EVERYONE.  Welcome to another edition of our LBI update.  It would not be summer on LBI without Fantasy Island Amusement Park and great news…it’s opening Friday 6/26 from 4pm-11pm!!!  More great news, NJ Motor Vehicle offices will reopen starting 6/29.  We bought a 16′ Hobey Cat and can’t wait to register it and get it in the water.  It does need some work since it has been idle for 6 years, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.  Luis will be happy to take any one out for a ride!!!  And more good news, Atlantic City is looking to open at a limited capacity on 7/2.  Great place to spend an afternoon even if you don’t gamble.

It’s Happy Hour anytime.  The restaurants are booming on LBI now.  We see lots of lines at all our favorite places; and sitting outdoors is much more fun.  We see lines everywhere to include, coffee shops, ice cream shops, barbers, salons and on and on (and soon at the MVC office too).  The most comforting news is that we are all taking proper precautions with masks and social distancing.

In real estate news, The NJ Realtors Association just published their monthly housing statistics ending in May 2020.  If  you want to “geek out” with stats go to this link:   You cannot search any more micro than at the county level on this site, and we can attest that the LBI and surrounding communities fall in line with the trends for Ocean County and New Jersey.  In a nutshell, compared to the same time last year, the inventory of homes for sale is very low, the amount of closed sales are down, and the median selling price has increased by a small margin.  What this means is that in today’s market, you could sell your home, enjoy it for most of the summer and close by September!!  Strike while the iron is hot!!
